Cannabis Heavy Metals Testing
Heavy Metals Detection
Heavy metals are naturally occurring in the soil and water. But unlike some other naturally-occurring substances, heavy metals are harmful for human consumption. Whether it’s grown indoors or outdoors, cannabis can collect heavy metals throughout the cultivation process as it takes in nutrients from the soil and water. In turn, these toxic elements can be passed from the plant to the consumer and pose serious health risks.
We use Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICPMS) testing to detect heavy metals at a very low level of concentration. You’ll receive a detailed report indicating the presence and levels of arsenic, cadmium, lead, mercury, and other heavy metals that you may be concerned about. Heavy metal testing is a requirement under some state’s adult use cannabis laws, but it is important for the health of your customers no matter where they’re located. At Origo Labs, we’re here to help you prove the safety and efficacy of your cannabis, CBD, and hemp products when it comes to heavy metal testing.
